Bishop Leo and Dr. Myra Simpson are to be commended for a job well done. They have been employed for the past 40 years by the PAW as administrators and principal of the four schools owned by the PAW. Their life’s work speaks for itself when you step foot on the grounds of Haywood Mission Institute. HMI is flourishing with 1001 students, 43 teachers, primary and high school buildings, and a two-story library.
Bishop Simpson oversees the operation of Haywood, serving as the school's administrator/principal. His wife Dr. Myra Simpson provides valuable assistance and leadership. Bishop Simpson is a native of Liberia. In addition to his role as administrator for Haywood Missions Institute, he also serves as the administrator of other P.A.W. properties in Liberia and as the Bishop of the 35th Episcopal District of the West African Council, for the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc.
The classroom teachers and staff are qualified facilitators who believe in educational excellence and Christian principles.
Haywood Mission Institute's parent company is the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Incorporated(PAW). Bishop Charles H. Ellis, III is the CEO/Presiding Bishop of the organization. The International Missions Department of the PAW, oversees the school's administration. District Elder Gregory Irvin, Sr. serves as the President of the International Missions Board of Directors.
Former Presiding Bishop Charles Ellis has committed to funding renovation of the David Ellis School. We still need funding for the PAW Missions School and operational costs for all four schools. We have established the Walkway of Life Campaign to raise 90,000 this year for the restoration of war-torn schools in Liberia. Each person contributing $1,000 or more will have their name engraved in the walkway. The work in Liberia is worthy of our funding and Bishop and Dr. Myra Simpson need our help. We need missionaries to travel to Liberia and we need partners to give and pray for the work. Please consider becoming a partner.
Please continue to pray for leadership, work, and the Liberia council.
